Diplomová práce je věnována problematice romské a vietnamské kultury a vztahu těchto kultur k těhotenství, porodu a poporodnímu období. Práce je dále zaměřena na postoj porodních asistentek k ženám těchto kultur a na péči, která je romským a vietnamským ženám poskytována v těhotenství, při porodu a v šestinedělí. Teoretická část se zabývá specifikou romské a vietnamské kultury, legislativou vztahující se k práci porodní asistentky, definici porodní asistentky a významem antropologie v porodní asistenci. Praktická část práce je věnována výzkumu pomocí anonymního dotazníkového šetření, který byl proveden u tří skupin respondentek a to u romských žen, vietnamských žen a porodních asistentek z praxe. Analýza a interpretace získaných dat poskytuje informace o reprodukčním zdraví žen romské a vietnamské kultury a o vztahu porodních asistentek k ženám této kultury.The thesis deals with Romany and Vietnamese women in the Czech Republic with regards to their attitude to pregnancy, childbirth and puerperal period. Moreover, the attitudes of midwives toward women of these cultures are investigated as well as the health care they provide during pregnancy, childbirth and puerperal period. The theoretical part is dedicated to specific conditions of Romany and Vietnamese culture with regards to pregnancy, childbirth, to the legislation in place for the practice of midwives, definition of midwives and the role of anthropology in midwifery. The practical part is dedicated to a research accomplished by a survey which has been made anonymously within the scope of three groups of respondents ? Romany women, Vietnamese women and midwives. At the end defined objectives and results of the research are appraised. Education materials have been created to assist midwives in their work with women of Romany and Vietnamese cultures.
