Cílem práce bylo přeložit větší část knihy Dos cuentos maravillosos (Dvě úžasné pohádky) od španělské spisovatelky Carmen Martín Gaite. První část se věnuje krátkému představení života autorky a jejímu dílu. Druhá část je překlad první povídky El castillo de las tres murallas (Zámek se třemi hradbami)a také je zde přeložena třetí kapitola druhého příběhu El pastel del diablo (Sorpresa). Třetí část se zabývá problémy a těžkostmi, které při překladu vznikly.Aim for this thesis was translation of book Dos cuentos maravillosos (Two marvelous stories) from spanish writer Carmen Martín Gaite. First part addresses to a short introduction of writer´s life and her publication. Second part is exact translation of first story called El castillo de las tres murallas (Castle with three walls) and there is translated third chapter of second story El pastel del diablo (Sorpresa) as well. Third part is concerned with problems and troubles which arised during translation.
