Práce se zaměřuje na praktiky států jako Spojené státy americké a Izrael, kteří tuto metodu pravidelně využívají, a hodnotí její efektivitu. Současně se věnuje otázkám porušení státní suverenity, lidských práv a souvisejícím právním rámcům včetně jus ad bellum a jus in bello. Essentially, targeted killing represents the preemptive elimination of individuals considered threats to the state, raising questions regarding its legality within the context of international law. The thesis focuses on the practices of countries like the United States and Israel, which regularly use this method, and assesses its effectiveness. Additionally, it examines issues related to state sovereignty, human rights, and relevant legal frameworks, including jus ad bellum and jus in bello.
