Práce je zaměřena na problematiku astigmatismu jakožto součásti většího celku, kterým je naše tělo a prostředí, ve kterém žijeme. Nejprve je představen astigmatismus, zvláště jeho rozdělení, metody vyšetřování a druhy korekce. V druhé, hlavní části práce, jsou pak vysvětleny vztahy mezi astigmatismem a jednotlivými vnitřními a vnějšími faktory. Z vnitřních jsou to např. genetika, věk, pohlaví, refrakce a BMI, z vnějších je to zejména vliv ortokeratologie.This thesis is focused on an issue of astigmatism as a part of a bigger complex of our body and the environment we live in. At first, the astigmatism is introduced, especially its classification, methods of its examination and forms of its correction. The connections between astigmatism and internal and external factors are explained in the second and at the same time essential part of the thesis. Internal factors include genetics, age, sex, refraction and BMI, external factor is the influence of orthokeratology in particular.
