Práca sa zaoberá postojmi k smrti a zvládaním smrti u veriacich a neveriacich osôb. Prvá kapitola sa týka témy smrti, zaoberá sa historickým pohľadom na smrť a umieranie u starých národov. Druhá kapitola sa venuje pohľadu svetových náboženstiev na smrť. Ďalšia časť sa zaoberá vývojom konceptu smrti v ontogenéze. Posledná teoretická časť je venovaná postojom a zvládaniu smrti. Výskum bol realizovaný na vzorke 111 respondentov. Skúmal vzťah zvládania smrti a postojov k smrti v súvislosti s pohlavím respondentov, s hlásaním sa respondentov k viere v Boha, či k nehlásaním sa k viere v Boha a vierou v pokračovanie života po smrti, či presvedčenie v opak.My thesis deals with death attitudes and coping with death of people, who are believers or unbelievers. The first chapter is focused on topic of death. It is historical overview about death and dying among ancient nations. The second chapter pays attention to glance of worldwide religions approach of death. The third one deals with conception of death in ontogenesis. The last part of theory is describing attitudes of death and it?s coping with it. The research was conducted on 111 participants. It explored relationship between death attitudes and it´s coping connected with gender of participants, admission of respondents to faith in God or admission of respondents to atheism, and conviction of life after life or vice versa.
