Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou alternativní a augmentativní komunikace (AAK) u vybraných dívek s Rettovým syndromem. Teoretická část vymezuje hlavní charakteristiky Rettova syndromu, přibližuje obecné principy AAK a shrnuje možnosti jejího využití u této specifické skupiny. Cílem empirické části bylo zjistit, jaké metody a pomůcky AAK jsou u vybraných dívek s Rettovým syndromem využívány. Dále byly hodnoceny jejich komunikační schopnosti pomocí Komunikačního profilu Matrix a motorické dovednosti prostřednictvím škál GMFCS a MACS. Výzkum byl realizován kvalitativní metodou případové studie. Zjištěné výsledky přinášejí vhled do aktuální praxe logopedické intervence a poukazují na přínos AAK pro rozvoj komunikace u dívek s Rettovým syndromem.The thesis focuses on the issue of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) in selected girls with Rett syndrome. The theoretical part defines the main characteristics of Rett syndrome, presents general principles of AAC, and summarizes the possibilities of its use in this specific population. The aim of the empirical part was to identify which AAC methods and tools are used with selected girls with Rett syndrome. Furthermore, their communication abilities were assessed using the Communication Matrix Profile, and their motor skills were evaluated using the GMFCS and MACS scales. The research was conducted using a qualitative case study method. The findings provide insight into current practices in speech and language intervention and highlight the benefits of AAC for the development of communication in girls with Rett syndrome.
