Cílem této bakalářské práce je rekonstruovat obraz Nového světa v Kosmografii české Zikmunda z Púchova a české soudobé literatuře 16. století. Vybraným sekundárním pramenem, který byl zvolen pro účel této práce je Spis o nových zemiech a o Novém světě, o němžto jsme prve žádné známosti neměli anico kdy slýchali Mikuláše Bakaláře. Stěžejními otázkami jsou, V čem jsou texty odlišné? Jak se změnil geografický pohled na Nový svět od doby, kdy svůj spis vydal Bakalář a Zikmund? Jak je vylíčen pohled na obyvatelstvo v Bakalářově spisu a jak v Zikmundově kosmografii? Přinesla Zikmundova kosmografie nová témata oproti dřívějšímu Bakalářovu spisu? V úvodu této práce je uvedena obecná problematika o počátcích zámořských objevů, vznik samotných kosmografií a představení nejvýznamnějších autorů, kteří se kosmografiemi zabývali. Nedílnou částí toho výzkumu je představení metodiky a cílů, které práce obsahuje. Jádrem je pak detailní rozbor obou pramenů včetně okolností jejich vzniku a života autora. V první řadě se bude jednat o analýzu Kosmografie české Zikmunda z Púchova. Následuje analýza Spisu o nových zemích Mikuláše Bakaláře. Závěrem tohoto výzkumu je samotná komparace obou pramenů a zodpovězení položené stěžejní otázky a dílčích cílů.The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to reconstruct the view of the New world in Kosmografie česká of Zikmund from Púchov and other Czech contemporary literature of the 16th century as well. As the selected secondary source, which has been chosen for the reason of this thesis is Spis o nových zemiech a o Novém světě, o němžto jsme prve žádné známosti neměli anico kdy slýchali of Mikuláš Bakalář. The crucial question is, if the Kosmografie česká of Zikmund from Púchov and the Spis o nových zemích differ from one another and if yes, then how very different are these sources distinguished? The inception of this thesis is devoted to the introduction of general problematics during the beginnings of overseas discoveries, the formation of cosmography itself and finally the introduction of the most important authors who have been interested by cosmographies. The other part of this thesis includes the introduction of methodology and objectives which have been used in this thesis. The main principle is detailed analysis of both sources, including the circumstances of their origin and the life of each author. Firstly, we are going to analyze Kosmografie česká of Zikmund of Púchov. Secondly, there is the analysis of Bakalář's Spis o nových zemích as well. The result of this research is the comparation of both sources and response of the crucial question with partial goals.
