Tématem diplomové práce je domácí násilí s důrazem na postup a možnosti Policie ČR v boji s tímto společenským fenoménem, který zde jako druh násilí je tak dlouho jako společnost sama, ale dlouhou dobu byla tato problematika bagatelizována a tabuizována a až v posledních desetiletích se o tento problém začíná zajímat většina společnosti. Cílem práce bylo stručně charakterizovat problematiku domácího násilí s důrazem na postup Policie ČR a následně se zaměřit na praktické problémy při aplikaci norem. Z tohoto důvodu se práce dělí do dvou hlavních částí. V první, teoretické části, je věnována pozornost historii a příčinám domácího násilí, jeho fázím, možnostem ohrožené osoby a právní problematice tohoto tématu nahlíženému z pohledu různých odvětví práva. Druhá část práce je praktická a snaží se zdokumentovat možné problémy vznikající při aplikaci norem domácího násilí příslušníky Policie ČR. Z těchto problémů jsou vyvozeny závěry jak zlepšit metodiku práce policie.The diploma thesis deals with domestic violence with an emphasis on procedure and possibilities of the Police of the Czech Republic in the fight against this social phenomenon. Domestic violence is here as long as the human society itself, but for a long time this issue was downplayed and it was a taboo, most companies have been becoming to concern about this problem in the last few decades. The aim of the thesis is to briefly characterize the issue of domestic violence with an emphasis on procedure of the Police of the Czech Republic, and then to focus on practical problems in the application of standards. For this reason the thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first theoretical part is the attention devoted to the history and causes of domestic violence, its stages, possibilities of endangered persons and to legal issues of this topic viewed from different branches of law. The second part is practical and it is trying to document potential problems arising from the application of standards of domestic violence by police officers of the Police of the Czech Republic. Conclusions as to improve the methodology of police work are drawn from these problems.
