Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit subjektivní názor seniorů z domácí péče na význam blízkých vztahů a postoje ke smrti v kontextu kvality jejich života. Byla použita česká verze standardizovaných dotazníků WHOQOL-OLD a WHOQOL-BREF. Výzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo 120 seniorů, klientů agentur domácí péče v Olomouckém regionu. Výsledky ukázaly, že s rostoucím věkem seniorů klesá kvalita jejich života v oblasti fyzického zdraví. Naopak souvislost mezi věkem a vnímanou kvalitou života v oblasti prožívání, sociálních vztahů a prostředí prokázána nebyla. Rovněž se nepotvrdil vztah mezi pohlavím a postojem ke smrti. Výzkum ale prokázal významnou souvislost mezi sociální situací seniorů a vnímáním jejich kvality života v oblasti blízkých vztahů. Neprokázala se však závislost mezi vnímáním kvality života seniorů v oblasti postoje ke smrti a oblastí blízkých vztahů.The aim of the thesis is to find out subjective opinions of the elderly in home care on the importance of close relationships and attitude to death in the context of their perceived quality of life. Czech versions of the standardised questionnaires WHOQOL-OLD and WHOQOL-BREF were used. The research survey included 120 older adults, clients of home care agencies in the Olomouc region. The results showed that with the increasing age, the quality of life in physical health decreases. However, a relation between age and quality of life in experiencing social relationships and environment was not established. A relation between gender and attitude to death was also not established. Despite this fact, the research proved a significant relation between the social situation of the elderly and their perception of quality of life in close relationships. No dependence was found in the elderly between the perceived quality of life in the attitude to death and the area of close relationships.
