V závěru práce jsou uvedeny pomůcky vhodné pro rozvoj matematických schopností.. -- Abstract: The diploma thesis deals with the causes of students' failure in mathematics. The aim of the thesis was to draw attention to the most frequent causes of school failure and its consequences in the theoretical part, and in the practical part to confront the findings with the results from the questionnaire survey. Tools suitable for the development of mathematical abilities are mentioned at the end of the thesis.
