Práce uvádí informace o vzniku Kontinentální hokejové ligy (KHL) a Národní hokejové ligy (NHL). Pro lepší orientaci čtenáře, uvádí také strukturu těchto dvou lig. Dále se práce zaměřuje hlavně na výsledy Alexandra Ovečkina v NHL a průběh jeho působení v týmu Washington Capitals. Práce určila nejproduktivnější a zároveň nejméně produktivní sezóny Alexandra Ovečkina v NHL. Pozornost je věnovaná také sezóně 2012/2013, kdy v NHL proběhla výluka a Ovečkin odjel do KHL. V závěru jsou shrnuty výsledky práce.. -- Abstract: This thesis is focused on drawing up a detailed portrait of the Russian hockey player Alexander Ovechkin. The paper presents information about the origin of the Continental Hockey League (CHL) and the National Hockey League (NHL). For better orientation, it also reports the structure of the two leagues. Furthermore, the work focuses mainly on the results of Alexander Ovechkin in the NHL and the course of his tenure in the team Washington Capitals. The work has identified Alexander Ovechkin´s most productive and least productive seasons in the NHL. Attention is also paid to the season 2012/2013, during which the NHL lockout took place and Ovechkin went to KHL. The conclusion summarizes the results of the work.
