Popisuje mentální postižení a objasňuje pojmy hudební schopnosti a dovednosti. Představuje vliv hudby na člověka a estetický přínos hudby pro jedince s mentálním postižením. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny poznatky z praxe, které se týkají vzdělávání mentálně postižených na základní hudební škole a také aplikace získaných hudebních dovedností v hudebním souboru.. -- Abstract: The thesis deals with the possibilities of interpretation of music by mentally disabled clients. It describes disability as such and clarifies the words musical abilities and skills. It introduces music's influence on people and its aesthetical benefit when working with mentally disabled people. There are notes from practice dealing with the education of mentally disabled people at musical school at the end of the thesis. It also includes information about application of musical skills which were gained in a choir.
