Teoretická část práce obsahuje obecné informace o literatuře pro děti a mládež a teorii hororu. Důležitou součástí je i vývoj hrůzostrašného žánru, který se výrazným způsobem v hororové tvorbě pro děti odráží. Praktická část práce podává ucelený přehled o tomto typu literatury a vymezuje její vztah k hororovému žánru pro dospělé. Je založena na analýze vybraných textů a důraz je kladen na postupy, které autoři při tvorbě uplatňují. Nedílnou součástí jsou proměny základních hororových prvků, zvláště specifika jednotlivých postav a prostředí.. -- Abstract: The bachelor thesis entitled ?The horror Features in Contemporary Children?s and Youth literature? deals with literature ranked among the horror genre by publishers, booksellers and librarians. The theoretical part of the thesis includes general information about children?s and youth literature and theory of horror. Another important part is the development of the horror genre that reflects in the children?s horror literature distinctively. The practical part of the thesis provides coherent overview of this type of literature and specifies its relation to the horror genre for adults. It is based on the analysis of selected texts and emphasizes the processes used by authors when creating. The changes of the basic horror features, particularly the specifics of the individual characters and setting, form an integral part of the thesis.
