Diplomová práce seznamuje odbornou, ale i laickou veřejnost, se základními informacemi o sluchovém postižení,  působením nemocničního prostředí na psychiku klientů a  komunikačními bariérami, s nimiž se klienti se specifickými potřebami běžně setkávají při kontaktu se zdravotníky. Smyslem výzkumného šetření v empirické části je zjistit, kde se vyskytly největší potíže při komunikaci zdravotníků, lékařů a pacienta se specifickými potřebami, zda-li jsou zdravotníci vybaveni zkušenostmi i znalostmi a jak nejlépe přistupovat k pacientovi se sluchovou vadou. Diplomová práce by měla pomoci navrhnout opatření, která by vedla ke zlepšení komunikace, pocitu kvalitní péče poskytované klientům a oboustranné spokojenosti klientů i zdravotnického personálu.This graduation theses makes the proffessionals as well as the laic public acquainted with the basics information about hearing disability, influence of the hospital environment on psychic of clients and comminitation´s barrieres which the clients with specific needs meet commonly in contact with medical staff. A sence of the survey in empiric part it is to find out, where were the biggest problems in communication between the medical staff, doctors and patient with specific needs, if the medical staff is invested with experience as well as knowledge and what is the best approach to the deaf patient. The graduation theses is suppose to help with a suggestion that could lead to an improvement of communication, a feeling of a good provided care to the clients and bilateral satisfaction of clients and also medical staff.
