Zaměřena je na primární glaukom s otevřeným úhlem, u nějž je nastíněna patogeneze a rizikové faktory pro jeho vzplanutí. Stěžejní jsou oftalmologické přístroje sloužící k detekci glaukomu s větším důrazem kladeným na zobrazovací metody. Probrána je i následná léčba. Nebyly opomenuty ani kompetence optometristy v souvislosti se sreeningem. V praktické části bylo vybráno několik pacientů, u nichž byl zdokumentován průběh onemocnění. Pozorována byla také případná korelace výsledků vyšetření s aplikovanou léčbou.. -- Abstract: This thesis briefly deals with the glaucoma-tic diseases and their classification. It is focused on the primary open-angle glaucoma with its outlined pathogenesis and the risk factors for their outbreak. The fundamental points are ophthalmologic instruments used to detect glaucoma. The emphasis is put on the imaging methods. The subsequent therapy is explained as well. Then the work characterizes the competence of an optometrist in connexion with the screening of glaucoma. For the practical part several patients had been chosen and their course of the illness was documented. At the same time the potential correlation between the examination results and applied therapy was under observation.
