Bakalářská práce popisuje počáteční vývoj Hudební mládeže v rozpětí let 1948 až 1971. Věnuje kapitolu Jeunesses Musicales, největší mezinárodní kulturní organizaci mládeže, pod níž Hudební mládež spadá. Práce se též zabývá životopisem Václava Talicha, který zrod podnítil, Ivana Medka, který organizaci přivedl k životu a snažil se ji v totalitních dobách, kdy nebyla podporována, udržovat, a Františka Kovaříčka, který ji vedl po roce 1971.The first international organisation associating music-loving youth, named "Jeunesses musicales", was established in 1945 in Belgium. Its Czech branch, called "Hudební mládež", was established in 1948 thanks to the motivation of conductor Václav Talich and Ivan Medek's organisation. However the idea of "Hudební mládež" was obstructed for 23 years by the accession of the communist totalitarianism. After the incipient efforts the Czech branch started to work officially in 1971 and it continues until nowadays. The bachelor thesis describes the genesis of the organisation and its grow along the world and it focuses on its development within the Czech Lands within the years 1948 to 1971. There are also separate chapters dedicated to biographies of its Czech founders.
