Endoscopic vein harvesting is superior over minimally invasive in terms of reduction of wound-healing complications, residual leg edema and saphenous neuropathy in the post-operative and 3-month follow-up. A significantly lower incidence of neurological disturbances is still presented 1 year after the surgery. Therefore, endoscopic vein harvesting should become a preferable method of less invasive vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass grafting.
