Diplomová práce představuje různá pojetí těhotenství a mateřství v malířství od historických zobrazení po současné tendence a uvádí symboly, které odrážejí svoji dobu. Sleduje vývoj tématu i v dalších uměleckých oborech a blíže se věnuje mateřským i jiným zobrazením žen-umělkyň. V této souvislosti poukazuje na vývoj genderu a feminismu ve výtvarném umění. Teoretická práce začíná mytologií Bohyní-Matek a doplňuje téma psychologickým archetypem matky. Moje osobní zkušenost matky je zde také včleněna. Práci uzavírá fotodokumentace praktické části a pedagogická část nazvaná Vzpomínky na dětství realizovaná ve výuce na základní škole.Diploma thesis introduces pregnancy and motherhood in painting from historical depictions to contemporary trends and presents various interpretations of motherhood and symbols that reflect one´s period. It follows a development of a topic in other artistic disciplines and it devotes itself closer to maternal and other representation of women-artists. In this relation it refers to a development of gender and feminism in fine arts. Theoretical work starts with a mythology of Goddesses-Mothers and completes the topic with psychological archetype of mother. My personal experience of mother is incorporated here as well. The work is concluded with a photo documentation of a practical part and a pedagogical part called Memories for a childhood which has been realized in a teaching practice in a lower secondary school.
