Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou třech klavírních sonát E. W. Korngolda - Sonáta č. 1 d moll, Sonáta č. 2 E dur, op. 2 a Sonáta č. 3 C dur, op. 25. U sonát je uveden kontext, během něhož vznikaly a jejich recepce. Dále dochází k formální analýze, u každé z vět je vydělena její formální struktura a jsou popsány jejich motivické a tematické celky. Jsou zde taktéž charakterizovány tonální změny a skladatelova práce s harmonií. Vše je doplněno příslušnými notovými ukázkami. Na závěr dochází k porovnání všech tří sonát. Mimo to práce také přibližuje život samotného skladatele.This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of three piano sonatas by E.W. Korngold - Sonata No. 1 in D minor, Sonata No. 2 in E major, Op. 2 and Sonata No. 3 in C major, Op. 25. The analysis of each sonata is preceded by a short overview of the context in which it was composed and the reception it gained at the time of its premiere. The analysis itself consists of defining the structure of each movement, finding the themes and motives, describing how the author works with them in the rest of the piece, as well as following the harmonic changes and the modulations to different keys. We also attempted to discover and describe the composer's favourite and unique techniques that can be found in these sonatas and that contribute to his overall style. At the end of the analysis, a brief comparison of all three sonatas is provided, following the development of his composing style throughout the years. Everything is accompanied by appropriate sheet music samples. At the end, all three sonatas are compared. In addition, the work also describes the life of the composer himself.
