El objetivo de la presente tesis era el análisis riguroso del paradigma traición/traducción que gira el terno del personaje histórico de la Malinche. En la primera parte de la tesis nos centramos en la vida histórica de la Malinche, basándonos principalmente en los testimonios de Bernal Díaz del Castillo. A continuación, definimos la teoría de la interpretación que nos sirvió para analizar el papel de intérprete que desempe?ó la Malinche. Una vez que tuvimos una imagen sobre la vida y el oficio de la Malinche, nos enfocamos en analizar su imagen en diferentes discursos de la literatura mexicana, concretamente, en el ensayo El laberinto de la soledad (1950) de Octavio Paz, el drama Todos los gatos son pardos (1970) de Carlos Fuentes y, por lo último, la novela Malinche (2006) de Laura Esquivel. Durante el análisis, nos enfocamos en la perspectiva de cada autor del personaje de la Malinche como la traidora de la nación.The objectives of this thesis was the rigorous analysis of the treason/translation paradigm surrounding the historical character of the Malinche. In the first part of the thesis we focused on the Malinche´s historical life, mainly based on the testimonies of Bernal Díaz del Castillo. Then, we defined the theory of interpretation, which we used to analyse the role of the Malinche as an interpreter. Once we had a picture of the life and work of the Malinche, we focused on analysing her image in different discourses of Mexican literature, specifically in the essay El laberinto de la soledad (1950) by Octavio Paz, the drama Todos los gatos son pardos (1970) by Carlos Fuentes and, finally, the novel Malinche (2006) by Laura Esquivel. During the analysis, we focus on each author's perspective of the character of Malinche as the traitor of the nation.
