Diplomová práce se zabývá psychologickými aspekty prožívání singles, konkrétně žitou zkušeností života bez partnera. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na definici pojmu singles, jeho zasazení do historického kontextu a nabízí několik pohledů na typologii singles. Dále se věnuje možným příčinám životního stylu singles, výhodám a nevýhodám života bez partnera a stereotypům spojeným s tímto způsobem života. Práce také rozvíjí teoretické pozadí týkající se vztahu singles k rodičovství a bezdětnosti. Tyto teoretické poznatky tvoří základ pro empirickou část práce, ve které byly realizovány polostrukturované rozhovory. Získaná data byla následně analyzována pomocí interpretativní fenomenologické analýzy. Výsledky empirického výzkumu poskytly důležité poznatky, které mohou najít praktické uplatnění v psychoterapeutické praxi a přispět k lepšímu porozumění psychologickým aspektům single života. Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl přinést ucelený pohled na prožívání single života a přispět k rozvoji psychologických znalostí v této oblasti, což může mít pozitivní dopady na podporu a porozumění jednotlivcům žijícím bez partnera.The diploma thesis deals with the psychological aspects of experiencing singles, specifically the lived experience of life without a partner. The theoretical part of the work focuses on the definition of the concept of singles, its placement in the historical context and offers several perspectives on the typology of singles. It also deals with the possible causes of the single lifestyle, the advantages and disadvantages of living without a partner and the stereotypes associated with this lifestyle. The work also develops the theoretical background regarding the relationship of singles to parenthood and childlessness. These theoretical findings form the basis for the empirical part of the work, in which semi-structured interviews were carried out. The obtained data were subsequently analyzed using interpretive phenomenological analysis. The results of the empirical research provided important insights that can find practical application in psychotherapy practice and contribute to a better understanding of the psychological aspects of single life. This thesis aims to bring a comprehensive view of the experience of single life and to contribute to the development of psychological knowledge in this area, which can have positive effects on the support and understanding of individuals living without a partner.
