Cílem práce je posoudit tuto roli v rámci struktury a vývoje měst. V první části práce jsou zkoumány jak kvantitativní, tak kvalitativní charakteristiky vybraných urbánních sítí, jako je hierarchie, obecná morfologie, nodalita, komplexnost a polycentricita. Tyto charakteristiky budou analyzovány pomocí několika geokomputačních metod. Získané poznatky budou následně aplikovány v kontextu ekonomické aktivity v městských oblastech. V rámci analýzy zastávek MHD jsou vytvořeny polygony obslužnosti, které zkoumají jejich dostupnost. Pro účely výzkumu je vybrána sada měst, zahrnující jak historické (staré) sítě, tak i sítě s pravidelnou geometrickou strukturou. Výsledkem je klasifikace měst podle podobných charakteristik získaných v průběhu výzkumu. Výstupem diplomové práce je poster, text práce, sada scriptů a návod k instalaci.. -- Abstract: The thesis focuses on the role of urban networks in modern cities. The aim of the thesis is to assess this role within the structure and development of cities. In the first part of the thesis, both quantitative and qualitative characteristics of selected urban networks are examined, such as hierarchy, general morphology, nodality, complexity and polycentricity. These characteristics will be analyzed using several geocomputational methods. The findings will then be applied in the context of economic activity in urban areas. In the analysis of public transport stops, serviceability polygons are created to investigate their accessibility. For the purpose of the research, a set of cities is selected, including both historical (old) networks and networks with a regular geometric structure. The result is a classification of cities according to similar characteristics obtained during the research. The output of the thesis is a poster, thesis text, a set of scripts and installation instructions.
