The main objective of this Diploma Thesis was the assessment and evaluation of the changes of the biomechanics of the landing during the competition micro cycle with the adolescent female handball players. The research was conducted on the group of eleven elite female handball players. The average age of the players was 14.3 years. They were tested in the scope of the competition microcycle and their task was to perform Single Leg Countermovement Jump. Their attempts were recorded by two video cameras in both sagittal and frontal plane. Subsequently, the biomechanics of the landings from the video recordings were analysed and evaluated by means of the scale Landing Error Scoring System (LESS). The score LESS was evaluated from five measurements that were taken before, after and subsequently 48, 98 and 120 hours after the match. The results of the research indicate that there was no deterioration of the biomechanics of the landing caused by the impact of muscle tiredness during the microcycle. Nevertheless, the very important finding is that the readings of the players´ score during the whole micro cycle were higher than average on the LESS scale. This piece of information can serve as a prediction of a higher predisposition to an injury of LCA.
