Zejména se práce věnuje teorii pohádek a jejich překládáním, přičemž je důraz kladen expresivitu. Předmětem praktické části této práce je analýza a porovnání expresivity v německých pohádkách Červená Karkulka, Sněhurka a Jeníček a Mařenka a jejich třech zvolených překladech. Práce si klade za cíl potvrdit nebo vyvrátit hypotézu, že se pozitivní expresivní výrazy vyskytují v českých překladech častěji, a proto působí mírněji než poměrně drsný německý originál.. -- Abstract: This master´s thesis deals with expressive words in the fairy tales of Grimm brothers. The main focus of this thesis is theory of fairy tales and their translation, with emphasis on expressiveness. The subject of practical part of this thesis is analysis and comparison of expressiveness of German fairy tales, specifically on Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and Hansel and Gretel, for which we have three different translations. The main goal of this thesis is to confirm or disprove, that positive expressions occur in Czech translations more often, therefore appear softer than the relatively harsh German original.
