Este trabajo debería darle al lector una idea general sobre las maneras, en las cuales el régimen franquista se acercaba a los judíos sefardíes en los aňos de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. A pesar de ser un aliado del régimen nazi, la Espaňa franquista prácticamente no participó en la guerra, como en el caso de Italia o Japón. Y, además, hablando de la comparación "nacismo-franquismo", hubo también muchas discrepancias ideológicas entre los dos - tal como en el enfoque hacia el pueblo judío. Los espaňoles no participaron plenamente en la catástrofe del holocausto, hasta que los judíos, sobre todo sefardíes, obtenían cierta protección y estaban a salvo en el territorio espaňol. De este enfoque franquista se ocupa esta tesis; después de un rostro histórico de la minoría judía en la Península ibérica desde la expulsión y los comienzos de la diáspora sefardí, trataremos de explicar la relación entre el franquismo y los sefardíes, eventualmente los judíos como tal. En relación con esto, también es apropiado dedicar una parte del trabajo a los personajes como Ángel Sanz-Briz, que les facilitaban a muchos de los judíos la entrada a Espaňa.This thesis aims to give the reader a general idea about the manners in which the Francoism regime approached the Sephardi Jews during the years of the World War II. Although being an ally of the Nazi regime, the Francoist Spain, unlike Italy or Japan, did not practically participate in the second World War. Moreover, speaking about "Nazism-Francoism" comparisons, there were many ideological discrepancies between the two regimes such as the attitude towards the Jewish population. The Spaniards were not actively participating in the events of the holocaust catastrophe, and furthermore, the Jews, mainly Sephardi, even obtained a protection to a certain degree and were safe inside the Spanish territory. This thesis tries to enlighten this Francoist approach: after a historical overview of Jewish minority in the Iberian Peninsula since the expulsion and early stages of the Sephardic diaspora, it intends to explain the relation between the Francoism and the Sephardi, and, eventually, Jews in general. Relatively to that, it is appropriate to dedicate a part of this work to the personalities such as Ángel Sanz-Briz, who provided the entrance to Spain for many Jews.
