Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit na základě interpretace královské aféry a abdikace krále Edwarda VIII. českým dobovým tiskem, jaké bylo povědomí tehdejších českých čtenářů o této historické události a zrekonstruovat, jaký postoj si mohli k anglickým reáliím vytvořit a porovnat ho s postojem britským.The main goal of the bachelor's thesis is to find out on the basis of the interpretation of the royal affair and the abdication of King Edward VIII. Czech contemporary press, what was the awareness of the Czech readers of the time about this historical event and to reconstruct what attitude they could have formed towards English realities and compare it with the British attitude.
