Žena a stereotyp vo filmoch Dreamworks Animation a Walt Disney Animation Studios 1998-2019 [rukopis] / Nikola Horníková. -- 2021. -- 175 s. + 1 CD ROM. -- Ved. práce Luboš Ptáček. -- Oponent Jan Černík. -- Abstract: Diplomová práca sa zaoberá komparáciou vyobrazenia ženských hrdiniek a genderových stereotypov vo vybraných animovaných filmoch štúdií Walt Disney Animation Studios a Dreamworks Animation v rokoch 1998-2019. V rámci teoretickej časti sa práca zameria na gender ako sociálny konštrukt formujúci identitu a sústredí sa i na vytváranie genderových stereotypov v rámci filmov, predstavuje doterajší kontext. Práca sa zaoberá primárne analýzou stereotypov, ktoré sú vyobrazované v prípade hrdiniek vo filmoch oboch štúdií a ich následnou komparáciou s účelom zistiť, ktoré zo štúdií má tendenciu vyobrazovať ženy menej stereotypne. K dosiahnutiu tohoto cieľa je využitá ako metodológia kritická diskurzívna analýza odvodená prevažne z prác Jamesa Paula Gee aplikovaná na verbálne, neverbálne vyjadrovanie postáv. Okrem týchto dvoch faktorov bolo nahliadané i na konanie hrdiniek v rámci sociálneho kontextu alebo ich výzor.. -- Abstract: The subject of this thesis is comparison of women characters and gender stereotypes portrayed in selected animated features of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Dreamworks Animation during years 1998-2019. Theoretical part consists of presenting gender as social construct forming identities, it also explains connection between gender stereotypes and movies and context of gender stereotypes in animated features of both studios so far. This work is primary focused on analysis of stereotypes which are shown in connection with female heroines of movies in case of both studios and follow up comparison of said stereotypes with goal to find out, which studio has tendency to show woman on screen as less stereotyped. Methodology used to achieve this goal is critical discourse analysis inspired by works of James Paul Gee that can be applied on both verbal and nonverbal communication of characters in movies. Besides these two factors, activity and their image was also followed and analyzed.
