Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou kritiky reality shows v nizozemsky psané literatuře, periodicích a zpravodajských webech. Práce je rozdělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá problematikou teoretického zařazení žánru, terminologií a stručně popisuje různé typy televizních pořadů, které do žánru reality-TV spadají. Druhá kapitola stručně popisuje nejprve to, jak žánr vznikl a jak se vyvíjel ve světě. Do tohoto kontextu je poté zasazen jeho vývoj v Nizozemsku. Tato kapitola se také zaměřuje na původem nizozemský televizní pořad Big Brother, který přinesl úplně nový formát těchto programů a ovlivnil celý budoucí vývoj žánru. Třetí kapitola se věnuje samotné analýze kritiky reality shows v Nizozemsku. Na základě odborných textů jsou rozděleny konkrétní aspekty kritiky do několika kategorií, podle jejich typu. Nejobsáhlejší z kategorií se zaobírá etickými otázkami, například otázkou práva účastníků na soukromí, či možnými psychologickými následky. Speciální pozornost je také věnována incidentu z roku 2019 v reality show De Villa, kde došlo k sexuálnímu obtěžování jedné ze soutěžících. Další kategorie popisují například způsoby, jakými tvůrci manipulují tyto programy, aby dosáhli co největší sledovanosti, či jaký vliv může mít sledování reality shows na naši společnost. Každá kategorie obsahuje reálné příklady nalezené v nizozemských médiích.This bachelor´s thesis tries to analyse the criticism of the genre reality-TV in Dutch literature, press and media. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one discusses the problems of the theoretical classification of the genre, terminology and briefly introduces all the different sub-genres that belong to the reality-TV genre. The second chapter explains how the genre came about, first in general and then more specifically in the Netherlands. This chapter also focuses more in detail on the reality show Big Brother which originated in the Netherlands and which introduced completely new program format and changed the future course of the whole genre. The third chapter tries to analyse some of the criticism of the reality-TV in Netherlands. The chapter is divided into individual categories which were created based on scholar publications and their characteristics. The biggest category discusses the ethical questions, for example the right of the participants to privacy, or the possible psychological consequences. Special focus gets also the 2019 De Villa-incident, that involved sexual assault of one of the participants. The other categories focus among other things on ways which the makers of the programs use to manipulate the programs to get the highest audience ratings possible, or what effects can the watching of reality-TV have on our society. Every category contains actual examples of criticism obtained in the Dutch media.
