Prehĺtanie je reflexný akt nevyhnutý pre zabezpečenie správneho príjmu potravy. Na jeho riadení sa podieľa celá sústava riadiacich mechanizmov, ktorá je citlivá i na malé poškodenie a vedie k vzniku dysfágie. Včasná diagnostika dysfágie a správne zvolená liečba je dôležitá a slúži ako prevencia pred vznikom následných komplikácií. Medzi najzávažnejšie komplikácie patria malnutrícia, dehydratácia a aspirácia. Opakovaná aspirácia vedie k rozvoju aspiračnej pneumónie, ktorá výrazne komplikuje zdravotný stav pacienta a môže viesť až k úmrtiu. Cieľom bakalárskej práce bola sumarizácia štúdií zaoberajúcich sa efektivitou elektrostimulácie u pacientov s neurogénnym typom dysfágie a jej porovnanie s efektivitou tradičnej terapie. Bolo použitých 22 štúdií v plnotextovej forme a články z odborných časopisov. K vyhľadávaniu odborných publikácií boli využité on-line databázy Medline, Google Scholar a PubMed. Z výsledkov štúdií vyplynulo, že elektrostimulácia má pozitívny efekt na liečbu pacientov s dysfágiou. Signifikantná a štatisticky významná je práve kombinácia elektrostimulácie a tradičnej terapie.Swallowing is a reflexive act necessary to ensure proper food intake. The whole system of control mechanisms, which is sensitive to small damage and leads to dysphagia, is involved in its management. Early diagnosis of dysphagia and the correct treatment is important and serves as the prevention of subsequent complications. The most serious complications include malnutrition, dehydration, and aspiration. Repeated aspiration leads to the development of aspiration pneumonia, which significantly complicates the patient's health and can lead to death. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to summarize studies dealing with the efficiency of electrostimulation in patients with neurogenic type of dysphagia and its comparison with the effectiveness of traditional therapy. 22 studies in full-text form and articles from professional journals were used. On-line databases Medline, Google Scholar and PubMed were used to search for professional publications. Studies have shown that electrostimulation has a positive effect on the treatment of patients with dysphagia. The combination of electrostimulation and traditional therapy is significant and statistically important.
