Hlavním cílem práce bylo přeložení odborného textu a následné vytvoření rusko-českého glosáře. Teoretická část se skládá z obecné charakteristiky tygra, jeho vztahu s člověkem a poté je zaměřena na tygra ussurijského. Následuje charakteristika odborného a publicistického stylu a poslední část je věnována překladu. Praktická část je zaměřena na překládaný text, jeho popis, zařazení do stylu a komentář k překladu s překladatelskými transformacemi, podloženými příklady z textu. Rusko-český glosář se nachází v přílohách.. -- Abstract: The topic of this bachelor thesis is a translation of a scientific text from a field of zoology (siberian tiger) with a commentary and a glossary. The main aim of the thesis was to translate the scientific text and to create a Russian-Czech glossary. The theoretical part consists of a general characteristics of a tiger, its relationship with human and later focused on the Siberian tiger. This section is followed by the characteristics of the scientific and journalistic style and the last part is devoted to translation. The practical part is concentrated on the translated text, its description, classification of the style and commentary on the translation with translation transformations supported by examples from the text. The Russian-Czech glossary can be found in the annex.
