Tato problematika je řešena jak z pohledu změn, které by musely nastat, tak i porovnáním možných výhod a nevýhod, které by z toho mohly vyplynout. Důležité je zde i fungování současné volby u nás a následné srovnání s jinými státy, u nichž je řešeno jak tamní fungování volby starosty, tak i jeho postavení.. -- Abstract: My final work "The election of the Mayor" deals with the position of the mayor towards to other authorities of the municipality and solves the question of direct election of mayors in the Czech Republic. This issue is solved from the view of changes, that would have to come as well as the comparison of possible advantages and disadvantages that might arise from it. The function of current election in our country and following comparison with other countries, where the function of election and the position of the mayor is solved, is very important.
