První část práce se zabývá osobností J.-P. Sartra, jeho teoretickými úvahami o funkci literatury a charakteristikou lidské existence. Druhá část se věnuje analýze konkrétních literárních děl, na kterých je zobrazen vztah Sartrova filozofického pojetí lidské existence s jeho pojetím umělecké literatury.. -- Abstract: This master thesis deals with the interpretation of the theoretical concept of literature by French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre, the main representative of existentialism. The first part of the thesis deals with the personality of J.-P. Sartre, his theoretical reflections of the literature function and the characteristics of human existence. The second part deals with the analysis of specific literary works, which show the relationship between Sartr's philosophical concept of the human existence and his concept of artistic literature.
