Tato práce stručně popisuje vývoj polského národního hnutí a utváření národního vědomí od dob třetího dělení Polska v roce 1795, představuje nejúspěšnější nacionalistické politické subjekty třetí republiky, a především analyzuje hlavní nacionalistické postoje a sentimenty současné polské společnosti. Analýza se zaměřuje zejména na přetrvávající geografické odlišnosti v povaze a intenzitě nacionalistických postojů a dále se snaží vysvětlit, jak hlavní sociodemografické charakteristiky Poláků ovlivňují jejich nacionalistické smýšlení.This thesis briefly describes the development of the Polish national movement and national consciousness since the third partition of Poland in 1795, introduces the most successful nationalist political parties of the Third Polish Republic and analyses main nationalistic attitudes and feelings among the Polish society in the present times. The analysis particularly focuses on regional differences between the east and the west of the country stressing the persistence of the societal division since the partition times, explaining the differences of both the type of nationalism expressed by invidivuals and its extent. Furthermore, it tries to explain how sociodemographic characteristics of the people influence their nationalistic stances and values.
