Vzorkování opylovačů probíhalo metodou individuálního pozorování a metodou odchytu do žlutých misek. Red Clover (Trifolium pratense) is an agriculturally significant fodder. Among its most important pollinators belong the bumblebees (Hymenoptera: Apidae: Bombus spp.), whose numbers have dropped significantly over the course of the last few decades. The aim of this thesis is to determine the possible limits of a successful reproduction of Red Clover in agriculturally intensely used region of a south-east Moravia. A model location was chosen for the purposes of this thesis, with an extensive field culture (cca 22 ha) with a growth of Red Clover produced with accordance to the principles of ecological agriculture aiming at seed production. The population of pollinators was examined in the location, as well as their distribution in relation to the distance from the edges of fields. According to the same gradient, i.e. edge center of the field, the distribution of the most significant pest of the seed production, the weevil Protapion apricans, was examined. The pollinator sampling was performed using the method of individual observation and capture into yellow pan traps. The sampling of weevil larvae was performed using individual collection of clover heads and further examination in laboratory. The acquired data were processed using multidimensional analysis methods in the Canoco 5 software. According to the ordination RDA model, the yield of clover was negatively impacted by the distance from the edges of field. The yield (= the average amount of produced seeds per square meter) was conclusively affected by both the presence of pollinators as well as the distribution of weevil larvae in the field. The highest impact of the pollinators can be accredited to bumblebees (Bombus spp.), rather than the most commonly present honey bee (Apis mellifera). The community of pollinators observed on the experimental area was fairly uniform. Apis mellifera accounted for 82.16% of all pollinators observed. Based on the acquired results, it is safe to conclude that monocultural growing of Red Clover is the most yielding on smaller fields, which have proportionally greater ratio of edges to the total size of the field.
