(186 697 znaků) + CD ROM, zadání DP. -- Ved. práce Jan Šmahaj. -- Oponent Tereza Sadková. -- Abstract: Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem smrti z pohledu žen ve středním věku, v roli dítěte a rodiče. Teoretická část pojednává o smrti a umírání a o postavení tohoto fenoménu v rámci minulosti a současnosti. Další kapitoly jsou věnovány významu smrti v životě člověka a procesu truchlení. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována pojetí smrti, jeho formování v průběhu vývoje jedince a jednotlivým faktorům, který tento proces ovlivňují. V závěru je popsán vliv rodiny a rodinné komunikace na koncept smrti. Výzkumná část práce se zaměřuje na pojetí smrti už žen ve středním věku, na jejich získané zkušenosti se smrtí a jejich mezigenerační přesah. Kvalitativní výzkum byl proveden pomocí 7 polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s matkami středního věku. Z výsledků prezentovaných v rámci případových studií vyplývá, že zkušenosti týkající se smrti, které si matky odnášejí ze své původní rodiny, mají vliv na přístup ke smrti a na rodinnou diskuzi ohledně smrti v současné rodině žen.. -- Abstract: The diploma thesis focuses on the theme of death from the perspective of middle-aged women, in the role of the child and the parent. The theoretical part engages in the death and dying and the position of this phenomenons within the past and present. Following chapters are devoted to the meaning of the death in the life of a man and to the grieving process. Particular attention is paid to the concept of death, its formation during the development of the individual and the individual factors influencing the process. In conclusion, the influence of family and the family communication on the concept of death is described. The research part of the thesis focuses on the concept of death of middle-aged women, their gained experience with death and the intergenerational overlap. Qualitative research was conducted by performing 7 semi-structured interviews with middle-aged mothers. The results presented in form of case studies show that the death experience that mothers take from their original family affects their attitude towards death and also the form of the family discussion concerning death in their current family.
