Práce se zaměřuje na území formálně náležící k členským státům Evropské unie, případně na samotné členské státy disponující v různých aspektech vzhledem k samotné Unii zvláštním právním postavením. S cílem přiblížení variability v přístupu k tvorbě definice tohoto integračního seskupení nastiňuje její široký a specifický dopad i důvody pro legitimní výjimky z obecného právního rámce. Věnuje se perspektivou dneška hlavním poválečným vývojovým momentům a obsahu nejdůležitějších smluv, přináší přehled aktuálních základních údajů a cílů, charakterizujících dnešní Evropskou unii a v rámci popisu nejdůležitějších orgánů funkční struktury objasňuje mechanismy rozhodování a dále základní legislativní funkční rámec. Na principu vybraných výzkumných oblastí, rozboru dokumentů a otázky úrovně příslušného členství odhaluje území se zvláštním postavením včetně určení kontextu, příčin a vývoje.This diploma thesis focuses on the territories that formally belonged to the Member States of the European Union, as well as on the Member States themselves that enjoy a specific legal status with respect to the Union. Based on the approximation of the variability approach to creating the definition of this integration group; it outlines its huge and specific impact. Furthermore, it deals with the perspective of today's main post-war developmental moments and the content of the most important treaties and provides an overview of the actual basic data and objectives characterizing today´s European Union. Moreover, within the description of the most important bodies of the functional structure, it clarifies the decision-making mechanisms and the basic legislative framework. On the principle of the selected research areas, the analysis of the documents and the level of relevant membership reveals the territories with a special status, including the identification of context, causes and development.
