Villains in Charles Dickens´s most famous novels [rukopis] / Nicolle Knapová. -- 2017. -- 42 s. + 1 CD ROM. -- Ved. práce David Livingstone. -- Oponent Ema Jelínková. -- Abstract: Cílem této bakalářské práce je blíže čtenáře seznámit s nejznámějšími zápornými postavy románů britského spisovatele Charlese Dickense. Nejdříve se práce zaměřuje na události Viktoriánské Anglie včetně průmyslové revoluce. V dalších kapitolách pak popisuji tématiku, o které Dickens psal jako například kriminalita a chudoba. V závěrečných kapitolách jsem rozebrala vývoj tří notoricky známých záporných postav z románů Dickense a to konkrétně Oliver Twist ( Fagin), Hard Times (Josiah Bounderby), a A Christmas Carol ( Ebenezer Scrooge). -- Abstract: The aim of this thesis is to introduce the reader with the most popular villains in the novels by Charles Dickens. The first part is focused on the events associated with the Victorian England including the Industrial Revolution. In the next few chapters, I describe the elements Dickens liked to write about such as poverty and criminality. In the last part, I break down the description of three notorious characters from Oliver Twist (Fagin), Hard Times (Josiah Bounderby) and last but not least A Christmas Carol (Ebenezer Scrooge).
