Na tento fenomén je nahlíženo skrze perspektivu času. Teoretická část pojednává zejména o vztahu technologií a člověka. V empirické části jsou prezentovány výsledky vlastního kvalitativního výzkumu vycházejícího z kombinace designů etnografie a zakotvené teorie. Ve studentské kavárně bylo uskutečněno zúčastněné pozorování a byly sesbírány rozhovory se studenty Univerzity Palackého. Hlavním cílem je zde ukázat, jak studenti pracují s časem při použití chytrého telefonu a jak se tento jev manifestuje v dalších sférách života. Chytrý telefon s připojením k internetu umožňuje teoreticky neustálou dostupnost a také umožňuje sdílet značné množství informací na libovolnou vzdálenost. Nejen tímto umožňuje chytrý telefon efektivnější využívání času. Student ale není při používání telefonu ve společenském vakuu. Společenské vztahy a kulturní prvky jsou součástí používání této technologie.. -- Abstract: Subject of this theoretical-empirical bachelor thesis is smartphone and its role in the life of a student. This phenomena is researched through perspective of time. In the theoretical part, the focus is mainly on the relationship between technology and human being. The empirical part presents results of research that is based on the combination of designs of ethnography and grounded theory. The research was carried out in a student café with students of the Palacky University. The aim of this thesis is to show how students work with time while using the smartphone and how is the usage demonstrated in various spheres of their life. Smartphone with connection to internet allows to be "always on" and also allows sharing a lot of information with basically no distance limitations. However, smartphone offers many options how to structure and use time as much effectively as we can. Student is not in a vacuum while using the smartphone. Social interactions and cultural aspects are also part of the use of this technology.
