Diplomová práce bude zaměřena na sémiotickou analýzu antisemitismu ve filmu Intolerance, konkrétně v Judském příběhu. Cílem práce je pomocí sémiotické metody dekódovat prvky antisemitismu, k čemuž práce naváže na výzkum Adele Reinhartzové v knize Jesus of Hollywood (2009). Tato se ve svém vizuálním rozboru Intolerance se zabývá zobrazením Farizejských, zkoumá především mezititulky, jejichž význam konfrontuje s biblickými evangelii a židovskými zvyky (Halachou). Vlastní práce naváže na tyto výzkumy rozšíří je o analýzu dalších vizuálních a narativních prvků, zejména postav. Primárním pramenem práce je současná verze filmu a klíčovou literaturou výše zmíněná publikace A. Reinhartzové mapující dnes již neexistující antisemitské scény, které byly z filmu odstraněny již před jeho premiérou.This bachelor's thesis analyzes an Anti-­ssemitism in film Intolerance, specifically in a Judean story with using a semiotic approach. Its goal is to decode elements of anti-­semitism. Thesis continues in Adele Reinhartz research in the book Jesus of Hollywood (2009). She deals with images of Pharisees in a visual analyse of Intolerance and she researches intertitles which she confronting with biblical gospels and jewish customs (Halakha). The actual work will build on her research and expands it with further analyse of more visual and narrative elements and characters. The primery source of work is the present version of the film itself and the key literature aforementioned publications of A. Reinhartz mapping todays deleted anti-­semitic scenes that were cut out from the film before premiere.
