Grandhotel Jaroslava Rudiše: Román a film [rukopis] / Renata Hrubá. -- 2014. -- 163 547 + CD ROM (2x). -- Ved. práce Jan Schneider. -- Oponent Jiří Hrabal. -- Abstract: Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou románu Grandhotel spisovatele Jaroslava Rudiše a filmu Grandhotel režiséra Davida Ondříčka. Cílem analýzy bude porovnat míru přenositelnosti příběhu mezi dvěma médii různých znakových systémů a sledování postupů k tomu používaných. To budeme zkoumat pomocí komparace naratologických (vypravěč, události, postavy, čas a prostor) a dalších kategorií (motivy, teorie adaptace). Práce vychází především z naratologických teorií Seymoura Chatmana a z názorů Lindy Hutcheonové na širší kontext procesu adaptace. Práce si klade za cíl ukázat na konkrétním rozboru, jak vynechání nebo zvýraznění některých prvků může změnit vyznění díla a příběh posunout do jiné významové či estetické roviny. Obě díla však pojímáme jako autentické umělecké počiny s vlastním souborem prostředků reprezentace, a tak k nim v analýze přistupujeme.. -- Abstract: This thesis analyzes the novel Grandhotel by author Jaroslav Rudiš and a movie directed by David Ondříček. The analysis compares the story portability between two media of different sign systems and used monitoring procedures. This will be examined through comparison of narrative (the narrator, events, characters, time and space) and other categories (motives, theories of adaptation). The work is primarily based on the narrative theories of Seymour Chatman, and on Linda Hutcheon's opinions on the wider context of the adaptation process. The work aims to show on specific analysis how the omission or highlight of some elements can change the meaning of the work and thus to move the story to another semantic or aesthetic level. However, we conceive both works as an authentic artistic act with its own set of resources of a representation, and therefore we approach to them in analysis in the same way.
