Sloučeniny byly strukturně a magneticky charakterizovány.Single molecule magnets have a huge potencial in high density data storage. The present work is dedicated to the study of transition and inner transition metal coordination compounds as candidates for novel single molecule magnets. Polydentate Schiff bases were used as ligands due to their large variability in coordination modes. Several homometalic Fe(III) and Ni(II) compounds were prepared along with a novel family of the 3d-4f Fe2Ln coordination compounds. Compounds in the present work were structurally and magnetically characterized.
