Bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem mezi osobním smyslem života a vybranými osobnostními charakteristikami adolescentů. Teoretická část shrnuje myšlenky různých autorů vztahujících se k osobnosti a smyslu života obecně, k osobnosti a smyslu života adolescentů a k jejich vzájemnému vztahu. Výzkumná část práce je zasazena do kvantitativního metodologického rámce. Jde o korelační výzkumnou studii, jejímž hlavním cílem je zjistit, zda existuje souvislost mezi osobním smyslem života a vybranými osobnostními charakteristikami adolescentů a dílčím cílem je zjistit, zda existuje souvislost mezi potenciálními zdroji osobního smyslu života a vybranými osobnostními charakteristikami adolescentů. Výzkumný soubor tvoří 304 studentů středních škol. Metodami získávání dat jsou NEO pětifaktorový osobnostní inventář a Profil osobního smyslu života. Výsledky výzkumu potvrzují statisticky významné pozitivní korelace mezi osobním smyslem života a extraverzí, svědomitostí, přívětivostí a otevřeností vůči zkušenosti a statisticky významnou negativní korelaci mezi osobním smyslem života a neuroticismem. Výsledky výzkumu také naznačují statisticky významné korelace mezi zdroji osobního smyslu života a osobnostními faktory.The thesis is focused on a relationship between the personal meaning of life and particular adolescents? personality characteristics. The theoretical part summarizes ideas of various authors referring to personalities and meaning of life in general; and relation to adolescents. The experimental part is set to a quantitative methodological framework. The objective of this correlation research is to discover the existence of possible relationship between the personal meaning of life and particular adolescents? personality characteristics. The partial objective is to determine a relationship between potential sources of the personal meaning of life and particular adolescents? personality characteristics. The experimental group is constituted of 304 secondary school students. Methods of research are NEO Five-Factor Inventory and Personal Meaning of Life Profile. Results of research confirm statistically significant positive correlation between the personal meaning of life and the extraversion, the conscientiousness, the agreeableness and the openness to experience and statistically significant negative correlation between the personal meaning of life and the neuroticism. Results of the research also indicate statistically significant correlation between sources of personal meaning in life and factors of personality.
