The diploma thesis deals with assessing the condition of patients with cervical spine pain ? in particular of patients with cervicocranial and cervicobrachial syndromes and with consequent mutual comparison of the two groups. Patient assessment was conducted both on the basis of kinesiological findings and using the results obtained from the three questionnaire methods concerning the assessment of pain and its impact on the implementation of everyday activities. The questionnaires included the following: Short-Form McGill Pain Questionnaire (MPQ SF), Questionnaire of Pain Interference with Daily Activities (DIBDA) and the Neck Disability Index (NDI). For the research purposes the Neck Disability Index questionnaire had to be first translated from the English original into Czech. The study involved 41 patients suffering from cervical spine pain who were divided into two groups according to the specification of algic syndrome ? into a group of patients with cervicocranial syndrome - a set labelled CC (20 patients) and a group of patients with cervicobrachial syndrome - a set labelled CB (21 patients). The study results have shown a statistically significant difference between the sets of CC and CB, namely in the case of Čepoj´s test, pathological stereotype of ABD shoulder joint, the PRI-T, and PRI-A indices. In determining the correlation between the questionnaire methods, a statistically significant correlations between NDI and DIBDA, NDI and PRI-T (for the CC set), NDI and Visual analogue scale (for the CB set) have been found.
