Cílem diplomové práce je představit filosofii mysli Johna R. Searla, a to primárně prostřednictvím jeho reakce na koncepci silné umělé inteligence, která se odvíjí od jeho pojetí intencionality. V úvodu práce je naznačen projekt, na který se John R. Searle v rámci své filosofie soustřeďuje, jakou roli v tomto projektu hraje Searlova filosofie mysli - na niž se zaměřuje diplomová práce - a jaký druh filosofické metodologie Searle ve svém zkoumání upřednostňuje. Hlavní část práce sestává ze čtyř kapitol, z nichž každá se soustřeďuje na jedno z vybraných témat Searlovy filosofie mysli: kritiku koncepce silné umělé inteligence; problematiku vědomí a projekt znovuobjevení mysli; tradiční karteziánský dualismus a problém svobodné vůle.The aim of the diploma thesis is to present John R. Searle's philosophy of mind through his reaction to the conception of strong artificial intelligence, which is based on his view of intentionality. The introduction of the thesis seeks to provide a view into the project that represents the main focus of John R. Searle's philosophy, what role does Searle's philosophy of mind - which represents the main focus of the thesis - play in his project, and what kind of philosophical methodology does he preffer in his philosophical inquiries. The main part of the thesis consists of four chapters. Each chapter is focused on one of the chosen themes from Searle's philosophy of mind: criticism of the conception of the strong artificial intelligence; the problem of consciousness and the rediscovery of the mind; the refutation of traditional cartesian dualismm and inapropriate interpretations of Searle's philosophy; the free will problem.
