Předmětem diplomové práce je rozbor díla De civitate Dei (O Boží obci) svatého Augustina z Hippo z hlediska trinitologie, pneumatologie a mariologie. Po rozboru historicko-kulturního kontextu doby, v níž Augustin žil, následuje krátký životopis a přehled literárního díla svatého Augustina. Dále je ve stručnosti pojednáno o jeho přínosu pro západní církev. Po stručném pojednání o struktuře a obsahu díla De civitate Dei následuje trinitární, pneumatologická a mariologická analýza díla.The subject of this thesis is an analysis of work De Civitate Dei (City of God) from Saint Augustine of Hippo in terms trinitology, pneumatology, and mariology. After an analysis of historical and cultural context of the period in which Augustine lived, followed by a brief biography and an overview of the literary works of St. Augustine. Then is analysed its contribution to the Western Church. A brief discussion of the structure and content of the work De Civitate Dei is followed by analysis from the perspective of trinitology, pneumatology and mariology.
