Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá motivem knihy v knize v německém fantasy. Skládá se ze dvou hlavních částí, tj. z části teoretické a praktické. V části teoretické je fantasy nejprve teoreticky vymezeno, je představena jeho typologie, ale i důležitý motiv kniha v knize a další motivy, které po něj spadají. Rozbor těchto motivů pak tvoří nejdůležitější část analytického oddílu této práce. Jako korpus pro praktickou část slouží tři německé fantasy romány - Nekonečný příběh, Město snících knih a Inkoustové srdce.This thesis deals with the topic of the motif 'book within a book' in German fantasy literature. It consists of two main parts, i.e. a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, fantasy is first defined theoretically, its typology is introduced, but also the important motif of the book within the book and other motifs that fall after it. The analysis of these motifs then forms the most important part of the analytical section of this thesis. Three German fantasy novels - The Neverending Story, City of Dreaming Books and Inkheart - serve as the corpus for the practical section.
