Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá tematikou korejských sexuálních otrokyň, známých pod eufemismem "comfort women", v českém překladu "utěšitelek". Tyto ženy byly využívány japonskou armádou v letech 1932 až 1945 jako prostředek k předcházení znásilňování civilního obyvatelstva na okupovaných územích a prevenci šíření pohlavně přenosných onemocnění mezi vojáky. První část práce se zabývá historickými jevy, které formovaly japonsko-korejské vztahy na konci 19. a na začátku 20. století, a dává tak náhled na důvody, proč převážná většina "utěšitelek" byla rekrutována z Koreje. Ve druhé části se zpracovává téma formování "utěšitelských stanic", principy jejich fungování a také obsahuje popis osudu "utěšitelek", včetně rozboru vybraných svědectví a představení některých z bývalých korejských "utěšitelek". Třetí část se zabývá spory, které se s tematikou "utěšitelek" pojí a promítají se i v současnosti do japonsko-korejských vztahů. Na závěr jsou představeny korejské filmové počiny, které alespoň zběžně přestavují tuto problematiku širší veřejnosti.This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of Korean sex slaves, known under the euphemism "comfort women". These women were used by the Japanese military during military conflicts between the years 1932 and 1945 as a means of preventing rapes of civilian population in the occupied territories and to prevent a possible spread of sexually transmitted diseases among soldiers. The first part of this thesis deals with the historical background that shaped Japanese-Korean relations at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century and gives an insight into the reasons why the vast majority of "comfort women" were recruited from Korea. The second part of this thesis deals with the formation of "comfort stations" and the principles of their operation and also contains a description of the fate of these "comfort women", including an analysis of selected testimonies and an introduction of some of the former Korean "comfort women". The third part deals with disputes that are related to the topic of "comfort women" and still disrupt current relations between Japan and Republic of Korea. At the end of the thesis some movies from South Korean production are presented. These can serve as an easy introduction for the general public to the topic of the "comfort women" issue.
