Pojednává o kategorii členu v portugalštine jako gramatikalizovaném způsobu vyjádření určenosti a o prostředcích, které k tomuto účelu slouží v češtině jako jazyce, který kategorií členu postrádá. Dále se práce snaží definovat kategorii určenosti jako kategorii pozůstávájící z vícerých sémantických rysů a na základě existující literatury pojednává o lexikálních, morfologických a syntaktických prostředcích, kterými může být portugalský člen převeden do češtiny. Teoretická zjištení jsou konforntována s datami z verze 8 korpusu Intercorp, na základě komparace portugalských originálů a jejich českých překladových ekvivalentů.. -- Abstract: This thesis deals with the means of expression of definiteness in the Portuguese and Czech languages. It discusses the grammaticalized category of articles in Portuguese that expresses definiteness and the ways of its transposition into Czech, a Slavic language which lacks the category of articles. The thesis aims to find a suitable definition of the category of definiteness, which is based on several semantic features. On the basis of the existing literature, it discusses the lexical, morphological and syntactic means of transposition of Portuguese articles into Czech. The theoretical findings are confronted with the data extracted from the corpus Intercorp, version 8, based on the comparison of the original Portuguese texts with their Czech translations.
