Záměrem diplomové práce je zjistit úspěšnost států světa v tenisových grandslamech za celé období otevřené éry tenisu. Práce dále analyzuje vývoj této úspěšnosti v čase, zachycuje překupování pozic států v průběhu sledovaného období a porovnává, jak si státy vedly v obou zkoumaných kategoriích. Dílčím cílem práce je popsat vznik a vývoj grandslamů, změny s nástupem otevřené éry tenisu a zařadit geografii sportu do vědních geografických disciplín.The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out the success rate of states around the world in tennis Grand Slams for the entire period of the Open Era of tennis. The thesis analyzes the development of this success rate in time, captures the rearrangement of positions of states during the monitored period and compares how states were succesfull in both of the analyzed categories. The partial aim of the thesis is to describe the genesis and evolution of Grand Slams, mention the changes brought about by the advent of the Open Era of tennis and integrate the geography of sport to geographic scientific disciplines.
