Tato práce přináší rešerši dosud publikovaných delimitací hranic zoogeografických oblastí v Jihovýchodní Asii, Velkých a Malých Sundách, Molukách a Nové Guinei. The Bachelor thesis brings forth a background research of so far published delimitations of zoogeographic borders in the Southeast Asia, the Greater and Lesser Sunda Islands, the Moluccas and New Guinea. On the basis of this survey the extension of the tribe Metriorrhynchini (Coleoptera: Lycidae) is summarized. Zoogeographic lines are considered to be useful indicators which define the structure of recent fauna according to its geographic origins. The significant factor for the dispersal events crossing these lines is the tectonic history of the insular part of the Southeast Asia and the northern regions of the Australian continental plate in the last 50 million years. In this period the whole region passed through considerable tectonic changes due to the movement of litospheric plates and their following subduction processes, which are going on up to now. The tribe Metriorrhynchini was picked up in this thesis as a model group because of its limited dispersal abilities. In the present this group is represented by 37 genera, which are, in spite of their clumsy flying, spread in Afro tropical, Oriental and Australian region as well; from the eastern part of the Oriental region also a part of the Palaearctic ecozone is settled with a small number of the genera. The division of the supercontinent Gondwana into minor fragments played its part in the origin of groups of relative species, their occurrence is limited to individual regions on the continents lining the Indian Ocean.
